Prof. Rizal highlighted UMY’s successful experience in sending senior lecturers to pursue doctoral studies at AU’s College of Management, with graduates demonstrating excellent academic and professional performance. Based on these outcomes, UMY plans to send more lecturers for PhD studies at AU.
He also expressed hope to strengthen the “3+1” and “2+2” dual degree programs, aiming to start student exchanges and joint degree participation as early as the second semester of the 2025 academic year.
Dean Dr. Ming-Hui Chen of AU’s College of Management noted that one UMY lecturer has completed their PhD at AU and another is currently enrolled, showcasing the university’s strength in cultivating international doctoral talent.
The UMY team also toured AU’s teaching and research facilities and praised its achievements in innovation and academic development. Both institutions look forward to further collaboration in joint degrees, faculty development, and international student mobility.
