Asia Management College is listed as a "Key Cultivation College" for Bilingual Education Program by the Ministry of Education ---

On September 2nd, the MoE announced the first phase of the subsidy list of the "Bilingual Education for Students in College Program". Asia Management College (AMC, Asia University, Taiwan) is affirmed by the MoE and become a key "Bilingual Education Program" college. In order to implement the program, AMC is to receive a subsidy of NT$8.47 million in the first year, and with the amount of up to NT$47.85 million in total for five years from the MoE. The MoE is to build Taiwan into a bilingual country by 2030, AMC is honored to be the pioneer of the plan.

Chun-Wei Lin, Dean of the AMC, said that the AMC strongly promoted the international dual degree system starting from the 109 academic year, and professional courses were taught in English. The “Bilingual Education Program” is fully supported and led by president Jeffrey Tsai, and associated with Ying-Huei Chen, Dean of International College, as the learning project host. Dean Lin and the Executive Director of the AMC Bilingual Education Office, Dr. Yu-De Tu, act as co-hosts of the project.

Dean Lin pointed out that this "Bilingual Education Program", combined with the AACSB learning quality assurance, and implemented “English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI)” student satisfaction surveys, curriculum review and improvement, and held EMI consultant meetings and industry courses evaluation committee meetings.
He also emphasized that in order to meet the needs of EMI curriculum quality development, the following destinations are to be achieved: 1. at least 26% of the sophomore English proficiency reaches CEFR (European English Test Standard) B2 or above; 2. the proportion of EMI course is at least 22%.
