Department of Accounting and Information Systems, Asia University (AIS, AU) was certified by Association of International Accountants, the UK (AIA) and CPA Australia at the beginning of this year, therefore, AIS and CPA Australia hold an unveilling ceremony on November 1st. Hosted by Dr. Chen, Da-Cheng, Dean of Academic Affairs, Asia University and the department chairperson, Pang, Yu-Chuan, they announced that AIS is the first department which certified by CPA Australia in Taiwan.

Mr. Woolley, Chairperson of CPA Australia pointed out that founded in 1886, CPA Australia is one of the biggest global professional accountancy groups and our CPA qualification is certified worldwide. CPA Australia is surprised that AIS's faculty team because all of the faculty does not only have the degree of accountancy, but it also has certificate of domestic and international CPA. It is rarely seen, Mr. Woolley said. In the near future, CPA Australia will cooperate with AIS and they are willing to sponsor scholarships to the accountancy majored students.
