Dr. Li, Yuan-Chuan visited intern students in Thailand!---

11 students from Department of Business Administration, Asia University went to T&T Blind Company in Bangkok, Thailand to Support New Southbound Policy.

11 students from Department of Business Administration, Asia University went to T&T Blind Company in Bangkok, Thailand for two months internship this summer. Their mentor Li, Yuan-Chuan visited them at the end of July. Hosted by Lin, Huei-Shin and Lin, Jian-Wei, Manager, they praised the students' adaptability and soon met the company's requirements. To enhance their international competitiveness, the compnay required the students to learn 5 Thai sentences every day.

Dr. Li said that the partnership of New Southbound Study Internship Project this year is with T&T Blind Company. They set up a subsidiary in Taiwan called Giant Yuen Hang Co., Ltd and it is focusing on window decoration design. Many well-known  enterprises such as Taiwan High-Speed Rail and Quanta Computer are their
customers.

Manager Lin hopes to train the studetns' practical ability and international competitiveness through this project. He said that the most basic thing to go to work abroad is language ability. In addition to English, students also need to be familiar with the local language so that they can expand the local market. That is the reason why he required the students to learn 5 Thai sentences and observe the international financial trends every day.

The Department of Business Administration sends their students to go to Southeast Asian countries for the internship has become a feature.  Chen, Shih-Liang, Department Chairperson said that the department has received two annual subsidies for the overseas internship from the Ministry of education for 4 consecutive years.
