On October 23, the EMI Office of the Management College held a seminar on English presentation skills designed specifically for EMI TAs. The event took place from 3 to 5 PM in classroom M405 and was jointly organized by the Bilingual Education Office of Asia University and the EMI Teaching Resource Center of National Chung Hsing University. The aim was to promote bilingual teaching and enhance the teaching assistance skills of TAs.
The seminar was led by Associate Professor Hsu Pi-Ling from the Department of Applied English at Chaoyang University of Technology, focusing on "Learning English Presentation Skills from TED." The goal was to boost EMI TAs’ English presentation abilities, enabling them to communicate more confidently and effectively in their teaching.
Professor Hsu explored the key elements of successful TED talks and provided practical public speaking techniques to help participants master effective English presentation strategies. The atmosphere was lively, and attendees learned how to enhance their expressive confidence in English, applying these skills in both teaching and daily work.
The seminar concluded with a certificate of appreciation presented by Dean Chen Ming-Hui, marking a successful event.
