The representative of Global Leadership University (GLU) visited Asia University (AU).

The cooperation between AU and GLU was discussed by President Tsai and the founder of GLU

The founder of GLU, the Governor of Darkhan-Uul Province (UUP), Mr. B. OTGONBAT, and office chairperson Mr. SUKHBAATAR Ts. visited AU on December 14th. They consulted about managing concept with President Tsai and discussed student exchange and business collaboration with Dean Chen (International College), Dean Chen (College of Management), Dean Lee (College of Medical and Health Science), and Dean Lien (College of Information and Electrical Engineering).

President Tsai pointed that AU and GLU have been in good communication for the past many years, and Mongolian students encompass one of the largest portions among international students at AU. In the first semester, AU had 65 Mongolian students, and their aspiration was to gain the dual degree. President Tsai also expressed his interest in creating more opportunities and building closer cooperative relationship with GLU.

 

The founder of GLU, Mr. B. OTGONBAT, mentioned that he had visited AU personally twice before, and he is impressed with AU’s excellence in teaching quality, teaching environment, ambition of internationalization, multiple learning opportunities, hospital and career development. In this visit, he had a chance to visit the president to consult the managing concept and discuss about academic exchange, especially in business area, medical area with 2+2 bachelor program, and MBA dual degree program. The founder of GLU is currently the Chairman of Taiwan Education Center in Mongolia and he encourages Mongolian students to study in AU.

In the meeting, Vice Dean Wu (International College) introduced the features of AU and indicated that International Affairs in AU is moving toward “317” program. “3” indicates 3 languages. Not only English and Chinese can be the top languages to learn, but also students can choose other offered languages. “1” means to encourage students to go aboard at least once during school life. Finally, “7” points out that there are 7 methods for students to enhance global perspectives and competitive advantage by: 1) sending students to study aboard, 2) publishing papers, 3) internship programs, 4) attending international competitions, 5) overseas exchange, 6) international volunteer programs, and 7) dual-degree programs.
